Hundreds of USF Health students display their work at USF Health Research Day

Kudos to the many students – 500 strong, another record – from all across the University of South Florida who presented research at USF Health Research Day on Friday. Thank you all! We greatly appreciate your energy, enthusiasm, and scientific curiosity.

One of our most important tasks is to instill in you, our next generation of health care leaders, a passion for research – a fire for the pursuit of scientific knowledge. It is wonderful to see so many of you picking up this torch and running with it.

Our students inspire us.

I’d also like to give a shout out to Yale University's Dr. Erica Herzog, who did a wonderful job last week as keynote speaker for USF Health Research Day. Dr. Herzog delivered an enlightening talk about her work, which stands as a great example of the kind of powerful difference that research discoveries make in fighting a deadly disease.
