Michael Bourne III, a distinguished track & field athlete at the University of South Florida, has recently been accepted into the prestigious Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program and the MSPN graduate program at the USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in Bourne’s journey, displaying his dedication, discipline, and academic prowess both on and off the field.
The Taneja College of Pharmacy is renowned for its innovative curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and commitment to producing leaders in pharmacy. Bourne’s acceptance into the program underscores his potential to excel and make a significant impact in health care, said Kevin Sneed, PharmD, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the Taneja College of Pharmacy.
“His transition from a stellar athletic career to pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree demonstrates his remarkable commitment to both personal and professional growth. We are excited to welcome Michael to our program and look forward to seeing the significant contributions he will make to the field of pharmacy and healthcare,” Dr. Sneed said.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to join the USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy. I look forward to this new chapter and the opportunities it will bring,” Bourne said.
Bourne will begin the MSPN graduate program at the Taneja College of Pharmacy in Fall 2024.
