EEX 6051 - Creating Positive Learning Environment

interactive learning

We were tasked with the challenge to create an engaging and interactive way for students to learn about intellectual disabilities while promoting collaboration and empathy. To address this, the course introduced Intel-Disopoly, a Monopoly-style board game that allows students to compete and work together. This hands-on activity not only makes the learning process more dynamic but also helps students build a deeper understanding and empathy for intellectual disabilities in an enjoyable, memorable way.

Digital Learning Designer Tips

"Interactive scenarios make learning more engaging by placing students in real-world situations where they can make choices and experience the results. Incorporating visuals, videos, or animations enhances the experience and appeals to diverse learning preferences. Accessibility is key and offering inclusive alternatives ensures that all learners can fully engage and succeed."
