Mark Koulianos
Mark Koulianos is assistant vice president of university-community partnerships, part of the team shaping the University of South Florida’s future cohesive and intentional strategy to engage community partners and facilitate business with USF. Koulianos is also the executive director of USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, a unit within Innovative Education that has grown exponentially during his tenure. It provides dozens of continuing education opportunities, certificates, corporate training, or short courses to help participants gain credentials. He is also the leader for workforce USF’s Lifelong Learning Operations, which offers training and certificate programs in numerous fields, operates testing services, and includes the Osher Lifelong Learning program.
Koulianos has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in various industries, including global information and measurement, market research, publishing, banking, and higher education. Before joining USF, Koulianos spent 14 years at the Nielsen Company, working in a variety of finance, project management, and operations management roles. During the later half of his tenure with Nielsen, he traveled worldwide as Nielsen’s director of global operations, turning around underperforming business units, and integrating the operations of acquired companies into the company model.
A proud USF alumnus, Koulianos earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and a graduate certificate in strategic intelligence. He serves as a board member of the National Council for Continuing Education and Training.
