If you’re an actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate student interested in learning more about the possibility of AI, consider registering for Microsoft’s AI Classroom Hackathon this fall. You will gain valuable experience that can help you get a great job in technology, and you’ll have the opportunity to network with other students and AI professionals.
The Hackathon will give you the opportunity to showcase your skills and ideas by building intelligent applications that reimagine the field of education in the era of AI, with up to $11,000 in prizes at stake! Additionally, winning teams will also earn the opportunity for mentorship within Microsoft, as well as shoutouts on Microsoft’s social and community blog channels.
Microsoft is partnering with USF Information Technology and the Judy Genshaft Honors College to host a special launch event that will take place on Thursday, October 26 from 4:30-7:30 PM in the Honors College building. The Hackathon overall will run virtually from October 26 – December 5.
Students who attend the launch event can expect the following perks, information and assistance to help get them started on their AI journey:
- Hackathon Registration and Project Support: Get a head start on your journey by registering for the virtual hackathon. Our team will be on-site to assist you with the registration process and answer any questions you may have.
- Interactive DALL-E Competition: Put your creative skills to the test in an interactive DALL-E competition. Show off your AI-generated artwork and win some fun prizes!
- Panel Discussion: Gain insights from the experts and get your questions answered! We have a fantastic panel lined up, featuring experts from both Microsoft and USF who will discuss the latest trends and applications of AI in education.
- SWAG Distribution: Get AI Classroom Hackathon SWAG, plus an opportunity to win a pair of Microsoft Surface Earbuds!
