About My Research

Under the advisement of Dr. Yonggang Liu, I am pursuing my master's degree within the Ocean Circulation Lab (OCL). My interest in circulation began with my deep-rooted fascination with moorings and has only grown since I began maintaining four real-time moorings off the West Florida Shelf. I am currently working on understanding the connection between Tampa Bay's circulation and water quality parameters. This has been achievable through the use of The Tampa Bay Coastal Ocean Model (TBCOM) and The Tampa Bay Observing Network (TBON). I look forward to contributing to a greater understanding of Tampa Bay.

Why USF CMS?

I have been fortunate enough to spend the past two years as an undergraduate intern within the OCL while obtaining my undergraduate degree in marine biology from the USF St. Petersburg Campus. Continuing my education in the OCL only felt natural. Having been around since the beginning of TBON and having extensive experience in the field as well as the lab, has made CMS the perfect pipeline towards future endeavors
