Darrah Shannon

INSTITUTION, MAJOR, AND HOBBIES

My name is Darrah Shannon, and I am a student at Florida State University. I am a senior studying environmental science. My hobbies consist of reading books and hanging out with my friends in my free time.

CAREER INTERESTS

My goal for my career is to go into environmental law. I am currently studying for the LSAT (law school admission test) and will send out my law school applications this fall. I would like to focus my career on environmental law that impacts climate policies.

WHY I CHOSE TO ATTEND THE USF MAKING WAVES

I chose to attend this REU to get experience in undergraduate research and to broaden my knowledge of this field. I will be working in Dr. Brad Rosenheim’s lab on carbon and nitrogen isotope concentration within restored and natural mangrove forests along the Gulf Coast of Florida.
