CAREER INTERESTS

I am very interested in using my background in computer science to pursue marine sciences and ocean research, in particular I would really like to use my passion for programming to implement software used in ship navigation or perhaps even programming to implement in the software controlling the underwater submersibles that we have seen being used in the REU as it was recently just docked on the ship. At the end of the day however, I would really just love to combine my passion for programming and ocean sciences in anyway possible. 

WHY I CHOSE TO ATTEND THE USF MAKING WAVES

I am really truly honored that I was selected to participate in this program. I have always been extremely passionate about oceanography and marine sciences but in New Mexico , there was no opportunities for me to pursue this field due to the land locked desert environment , so I am honored to be able to come out to be able to study marine science here in the thriving enviornment of St. Pete Florida.
