ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Dr. Marcy Cockrell, a recent doctoral graduate from the marine resource assessment program, has been selected as a Fellow for the 2018-2019 class with the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and v. Fellows gain first-hand experience at the interface of science and policy as they spend one year on the staff of federal, state, local, or non-governmental environmental, natural resource, oil and gas, and public health agencies in the Gulf of Mexico region.

Dr. Cockrell will spend the year working on science communication, policy, and resource management issues in Florida with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in Tallahassee.
