On the first Friday of the fall semester, seven faculty members took center stage to present their latest research to the College of Marine Science community.
This year’s seminar marked the commencement of an exciting and promising academic year for CMS. The talks encompassed a broad range of research topics from around the world, offering captivating insights that illuminated the passion CMS faculty hold for understanding our ocean systems through innovative research. Mya Breitbart's research dove into the mass die-off of the long-spined sea urchins in the Caribbean and along Florida's East Coast. Brad Rosenheim shared his research on the West Antarctic shelf. Watch the recorded presentations to learn more about some of the ongoing research at CMS.
Annual faculty seminars offer an opportunity for students to get to know their professors and peers. The research presentations provide a platform for the CMS community to discuss current research projects within the college. Attendees delve deep into the presented research, ask questions, and discuss their future work.
