With the 2018 fall semester now underway, you’ll notice some big changes across the USF Tampa campus. Whether you’re looking for a fresh place to grab some lunch or are upgrading your Bulls wardrobe for football games, there’s plenty of new things to see around campus. Check out the list below for some of the highlights. Go Bulls!
New Residence Halls
Three new residence halls are now open on campus, completing The Village, which first
welcomed students in 2017. Endeavor, Horizon and Pinnacle provide housing for 1,100 students and increase USF’s residential population to more
than 6,300, supporting the university’s focus on student success and continued effort
to enrich the culture of engagement on campus.
More Dining Options
Argos Exchange- The rotating restaurant space offers a collection of unique and innovative food concepts
under one roof. It currently includes Flip Kitchen, Bay Coffee & Tea Company and more.
BurgerFi- The national burger chain opened at Pinnacle residence hall in The Village, the restaurant’s second on-campus location nationally.
Einstein Bros. ® Bagels and Express Market- Fresh bagels and artisan roasted coffee can be found on the ground floor of the Carol and Frank Morsani Center.
Starbucks- A new campus Starbucks location opened at Pinnacle residence hall in The Village. (Pro Tip: There’s a walk-up window!)
Publix
Construction on the new Publix at Fletcher Avenue and USF Palm Drive continues this
semester. It’s expected to be complete in December.
Adidas Merchandise
Need a new USF t-shirt? Or how about some Bulls’ workout gear? The bookstore’s got
you covered with a ton of new adidas merchandise. Late last year, USF Athletics announced a new eight-year partnership with company.
The collaboration brings with it new custom uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories for all of the Bulls’ 19 varsity athletic teams,
as well as merchandise available for fans, students and the entire USF community.
License Plates
As students, faculty, staff and visitors make their way around campus (and the nation),
they’ll likely notice the new USF license plate. The redesigned plates mark the first refresh in 15 years and coincides with the
university’s recent historic designation as a Preeminent State Research University.
The new design aims to build on the approximately 15,000 drivers who currently have
USF specialty plates. Want your own?
USF Health Eye Institute
The USF Health Eye Institute has expanded its services with a new location on the fourth floor of the Morsani
Center for Advanced Healthcare. The new 27,000 sq. ft. facility allows the ophthalmology
team to increase its services for patients and provides state-of-the-art training
for medical residents.
Bull Runner
Parking and Transportation Services recently purchased two new Bull Runner buses as
part of their strategic goal to replace the aging Bull Runner fleet. These new buses
are expected to join the fleet's normal operation by September 2018.
