The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a public safety exercise from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26 at Pizzo Elementary School, located at 11701 USF Bull Run Drive on the USF campus in Tampa. During this drill, expect an increased law enforcement presence near the elementary school.
The exercise will have an impact on the following roads and parking lot on Friday:
- Northbound USF Bull Run Drive at Fowler Ave. Closed 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Eastbound USF Alumni Drive at USF parking lot 22 Closed 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Southbound USF Bull Run Drive at USF parking lot 22F Closed 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- USF parking lot 22F Closed 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Message boards will be in place reminding drivers of road closures. In order to avoid any traffic delays, USF community members and visitors should use these suggested alternate routes:
- Main entrance located at Fowler Avenue and USF Leroy Collins Boulevard
- East access located at USF Elm Drive and USF Holly off of 50th Street
