Jennifer Condon named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Dear USF Community,

I am pleased to share that Jennifer Condon has been named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. After serving as Acting CFO for the last five months, she will continue to lead our Office of Business and Finance, which includes the Controller’s Office, Procurement, the Treasurer’s Office, Budget and Financial Analysis, Auxiliary Operations, Housing and Residential Education, and WUSF Public Media.

Throughout her 18-year tenure at USF, Jennifer has been a catalyst for positive change, striving to streamline and elevate our business processes. Her strategic approach to financial operations reflects a commitment to balancing compliance requirements with operational efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in tangible advancements across the university.

Jennifer's achievements include significant cost reduction initiatives such as the Flywire payment gateway for International Students and AR Collect for former students with outstanding balances. University-wide business process redesign initiatives have included the implementation of the PeopleSoft Asset Management module, Archivum solution for travel processing, the Bull Marketplace eProcurement system, automation of Florida Prepaid billing and payment, and successful optimization of bi-weekly payroll, monthly, and year-end closing activities. 

During her time at USF, Jennifer's open and approachable leadership style has fostered collaboration and innovation. She has strong partnerships across USF, and has worked with deans, faculty members, and others to develop a transparent and more predictable budget process. Her steadfast commitment to bringing financial foundational processes into the future helps position our university for continued success and excellence. Jennifer and her team will continue to coordinate university-wide planning to support our academic and research missions, drive student and faculty success, and other strategic initiatives including investments in USF Athletics and the on-campus stadium.

Jennifer is a CPA certified in Connecticut. She spent seven years at Yale University before moving to Florida in 2006 to become associate controller for research financial management at USF. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University with a double major in accounting and finance and a concentration in technical communication.
