USF sailing team trains year-round on Tampa Bay
The USF sailing team competes nationally, benefitting from year-round training at the St. Petersburg campus located on Tampa Bay. The team consists of a women's varsity team and a coed sailing club with students from all three USF campuses.

USF and Rapid7 to launch cyber training initiative through $1.5 million federal grant
The Rapid7 Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab at USF has secured its largest federal investment since its launch earlier this year. The Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation awarded USF and Rapid7, a leader in cloud risk and threat detection, a $1.5 million grant to conduct research into effective ways for training cyber operators.

USF Hurricane Idalia update
The USF Tampa and USF Sarasota-Manatee campuses have reopened. Based on our latest assessment of the campus and improved conditions in Pinellas County, the USF St. Petersburg campus will reopen on Friday, Sept. 1, and classes will resume on Friday, Sept. 1.
