USF graduates celebrate unwavering support, resiliency during fall commencement
Nearly 4,000 degrees were conferred during this fall’s commencement. The group, which represented 93 countries, 42 states and 11 U.S. territories, included 47 undergraduate students earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average and 107 military veterans. All now share a common theme – they are USF alumni.

An interdisciplinary team of students and faculty from the USF School of Art and Art History, Zimmerman School of Advertising and Communications and the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Graphic Arts Program have launched the “Dose of Gratitude” campaign. It’s intended to bring smiles and show respect for health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

USF photography workshop giving valuable exposure to local veteran
When Michael Congdon medically retired from the U.S. Army, a future in photography was not something he had in mind. But, thanks to an out-of-the-box suggestion from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and support from USF staff and faculty, the former soldier found a passion for the artform and is already earning national exposure for his work.

USF Artists Donate Tools to Combat COVID-19
It’s often said there’s a place where art and medicine intersect. That’s become even more apparent since the coronavirus pandemic. The USF School of Art & Art History has provided medical personnel a 3d printer, face shields and respirators regularly utilized in its studios.
