My approach to therapy:
I am a Black, cisgender, straight female. My approach to therapy typically involves creating a warm, culturally-sensitive, and empathic relationship with my clients while offering support and encouragement throughout the process of therapy. I strive to enhance my client’s psychosocial functioning and well-being which often includes developing healthy ways of coping with college-related and general life stressors, processing emotions, and building and maintaining healthy interpersonal functioning. I particularly enjoy working with students from marginalized populations and strive to implement multicultural and social justice components within my therapy work.
My approach to supervision:
I take an integrated developmental approach to supervision. Additionally, I explore cultural dynamics within the supervisor-supervisee relationship and consider how they may be impacting the supervision relationship as well as the supervisee’s clinical work.
A Fun Fact:
I love food, nature, and good views!
