My approach to therapy: I am an African American, cisgender, heterosexual woman. I am an undergrad alumna
of the University of South Florida (USF) and have since become a resident of Tampa
Bay. As a therapist, I strive to support clients in achieving their mental health
goals. I value the individuality of a person, and provide a safe, non-judgmental space
to foster a positive therapeutic relationship. I implement an integrative approach
to therapy, incorporating cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, or narrative modalities.
My approach is also strengths-based and client-centered, as I encourage client input
during treatment. Ultimately, I desire to aid clients on their personal journey of
growth and wellness.
My approach to supervision: I utilize a supportive and reflective style of supervision. I reference evidence-based
practices to promote skill development and encourage supervisees to embrace challenges.
University Committees & Liaison relationships: College of Public Health; School of Social Work; College of Behavioral and Community Sciences
A Fun Fact: I enjoy making life memories that include family, food, and travel. I have several
plants and each of them has a name. The giraffe is my favorite animal.
