Disha Patel, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
Pronouns: She/her/hers
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English, possibly Gujurati
My approach to therapy: I truly enjoy working with college students, and with over 10 years of experience in college counseling, I understand how challenging it can be to balance academic pressures, relationships, and personal growth while maintaining mental health. My diverse background—both personally and clinically--helps me to address a wide range of concerns. I recognize that everyone’s journey is unique, shaped by their cultural background and life experiences.
In therapy, I take a compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach. I’m here to support you in reaching your personal goals and I believe in looking at things from a holistic perspective, considering both the mind and body. I utilize a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to identify patterns that contribute to stress and develop personalized coping strategies. I try to meet my clients where they are at in their journey of change. Reaching out for help is courageous! Together, we can work through challenges, build resilience, and I hope to guide you toward living a life that aligns with your values.
