Annie Blackard is a senior at USF, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art. During her time at USF, she has studied abroad twice, in Florence and Paris.
Annie speaks very highly of her time in Florence. “This was by far one of the most meaningful experiences I have had in my time at USF! I was able to take unique courses such as Art Therapy and Mindfulness which inspired me to incorporate art into my study of psychology.”
She explains that her time in Paris also enhanced her goals of pursuing a PhD in Psychology.
After graduation, Annie will be conducting research at George Mason University and will apply for the Fulbright Scholarship to study psychology in the United Kingdom.
Annie is currently the president of the Executive Boards for both the GloBull Ambassador Program and the Global Citizens Project. She offers a bit of advice for anyone considering education abroad, “I greatly encourage other students to pursue education abroad and to take advantage of the many resources that are available to help make the most of this experience! It is absolutely one of the most valuable and life-changing opportunities that you can gain in your time at USF!”
