On Monday, June 26th, 2023, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) and the University of South Florida Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) signed a General Agreement for Collaboration, making both institutions global partners. This agreement marked the beginning of a collaboration between USF and IITGN that will facilitate research, promote cooperation between students and faculty at both institutions, and advance the development of innovative new global sustainability and engineering programs.
Dr. Pradeep Haldar, Research and Adjunct Professor and Director of Sustainable Business at PCGS, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that “[by] leveraging world-class knowledge and solutions from leading institutions in India and the U.S. [the partnership] will enable implementation of robust academic and research programs in sustainability, engineering, entrepreneurship, and others. “
The signing of the General Agreement for Collaboration by USF Provost Dr. Prasant Mohapatra and IITGN Director Dr. Rajat Moona was a momentous occasion and represented a significant step towards promoting sustainability and furthering USF’s role as a global leader in engineering and innovation.
