About Us
Who We Are
The AAC seeks to consider and make recommendations to the appropriate authorities on matters of interest to the University community.
The responsibility of the Administrative Advisory Council (AAC) will be to consider and make recommendations to the appropriate authorities on matters of interest to the University community.
USF has three organizations that advise the President on matters of interest. They are the AAC, Staff Senate, and the Faculty Senate. USF encourages faculty and staff participation in governance organizations and outlines participation guidelines and responsibilities in the Attendance & Leave Guide on Page 11.
The AAC represents all administration and professional employees. In academic year 2020-2021, USF's AAC was made up of 48 representatives elected from a body of approximately 3600. The membership proportionately represents Vice Presidential units within the University and its campuses.
Effective July 1, 2010, Administration employees appointed at least half-time are eligible for nomination and election to the AAC as a voting representative for a three (3) year term. Elections take place prior to July each year. AAC representatives serve as:
• Representatives of Administration employees at USF
• Advisors to other policy makers at USF
• Sources of information to each other about organizational developments
• Advocates for USF both on and off campus
