Fire Safety
Building Supervisor
Building supervisors are very important to any fire safety and prevention program. The role of Building Supervisors is to assist Environmental Health and Safety in identifying and correcting common fire hazards in their facility. Building Supervisors may act as the Fire Warden for their facility. As Fire Warden, they develop and administer the evacuation drills with EH&S and University Police. Additionally, Building Supervisors correct fire safety deficiencies identified during annual fire inspections by the State Fire Marshal.
The video below identifies common violations and will assist Building Supervisors and Occupants in the elimination of potential hazards found in buildings.
