Employee recognition is a vital part of USF. Recognizing and supporting the contributions of Faculty and Staff is a vital part of fulfilling the University’s mission. Through the USF Length of Service Recognition program, employees with continuous service in a regular line position at USF are eligible for gifts at each five year milestone.
This month, three OAS employees who have been working at USF for 35 or more years were recognized as part of that program. Thank you to these employees for the excellent work they have done during their time at the University.
LOUISE WILGUS
Space Utilization Planner - Facilities Planning Department
Louise is a USF alumna, and has been with USF since she first came here as a freshman
in college. Looking back, Louise says that it’s amazing how much the Tampa campus
has grown, and that she is incredibly fortunate to have built her career with this
dynamic university.
Gregory See
Manger, Building and Maintenace Operations - Utilities Department
Greg See is an avid sportsman and Florida native, born in Hillsborough County. His
wife of 37 years is also a USF employee with over 30 years of service. They have both
always been proud to be part of the outstanding and diverse USF community. The biggest
lesson he’s learned working at USF is that being able to adapt to change is sometimes
difficult, but inevitable, and one must learn to embrace it.
MEICA ELRIDGE
Workers Comp Administrator - Environmental Health and Safety
Starting at USF as an employee in 1985, Meica worked for the Housing Department and
Human Resources before she began working as the Workers’ Compensation Administrator
in 1999. Her time as a USF employee has taught her that “overcoming challenges begins
with knowledge”. Meica enjoys the fact that her position allows her to help other
individuals who may need help physically, financially and/or emotionally.
