Steps Within the Hiring Process for Law Enforcement Officer Positions

  1. Submit a full and complete online employment application
  2. Application screened for minimum requirements and disqualifiers
  3. Initial interview and written exercise
  4. Conditional offer of employment
  5. Extensive background investigation
  6. FDLE Physical Abilities Test
  7. Medical examination
  8. Psychological evaluation
  9. Polygraph examination
  10. Final interview
  11. Formal offer of employment
