The University of South Florida invites applications for instructional faculty Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity and Computing
The Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity and Computing at USF is seeking to hire instructional faculty at the levels of Assistant and Associate Professor of Instruction who can teach a broad range of core and elective courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of cybersecurity, AI, and computer science. Special emphasis is on candidates with a strong interest and/or capability in teaching hands-on skills in cybersecurity. Instructional faculty have the opportunity for professional development and to pursue educational research and service. Course releases and buyouts are possible through significant service activities in the college or engagement in sponsored research. Candidates must have completed a PhD in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related area from an accredited institution. This recruitment is for a non-tenure, earning, full-time, 12-month position. Successful candidates are expected to start in the fall of 2025.
Launching in Fall 2025, the new Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing will be seeded by faculty and staff from USF's current Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The college will open with a strong foundation of 36 tenure-track faculty, 17 instructional faculty, and a student body of 3,150 students across BS, MS, and PhD programs.
USF’s bold investment in the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing reflects its strategic vision for rapid expansion and influence in AI, cybersecurity, and computing on a national and global scale. The college has the support to double its faculty in the next four years to support an expected significant growth in student enrollment with additional degree and certificate offerings also in plan.
