Overview

The graduate students in our department are teacher-scholars who are given ample opportunities during their time at the University of South Florida to grow into excellent and experienced instructors. We offer numerous opportunities for students to learn the art of teaching from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Through a combination of offering numerous courses on pedagogy, mentorships, and teaching, the Department of English creates a general ethos of caring about teaching. Our graduate students embrace their important roles as teachers.
