Professional Description
Fatin is an engineering geologist and a GIS specialist. She currently teaches GIS 3006 Mapping and Geovisualization and EVR 2001 Introduction to Environmental Science, engaging students with comprehensive lectures and hands-on learning experiences in GIS lab sessions. Before joining USF, Fatin was involved in the geotechnical engineering field, overseeing extensive settlement investigations for both residential and commercial properties throughout Florida. Her expertise in engineering and earth science enables her to provide solutions to challenges related to the Earth System. Furthermore, when combined with GIS skills, this multidisciplinary foundation enables her to approach environmental issues from various perspectives.
