2024 AAF Tampa Bay Award Winners
Z School advertising students were recognized in the first round of the national American
Advertising Federation ADDY Awards Program, one of the industry’s largest creative
competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year
in competitions offered through local AAF clubs. Aaron Payne won three Gold ADDY awards,
including the award for Advertising Craft: Copywriting. A team of Z School advertising
students, including Teodora Tavares and Gabriela Passos, won the Judges Choice Award,
in which the judges choose their favorite piece to automatically elevate to the regional
competition.
The local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier national competition. At the
second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in
one of 15 regional district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded
to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. The mission
of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit
of excellence in advertising.
CONGRATULATIONS! To all the ADDY winners and Adjunct Professor Burton Runyan, who directed the students'
work. The students received their awards at the 2024 AAF Tampa Bay Awards Gala.
