Tampa Musuem of Art. 120 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL. Exhibits modern and contemporary art as well as Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities.

Tampa History Museum, 801 Water St, Tampa, FL. Exhibits include coverage of the Tampa Bay area's first native inhabitants, Spanish conquistadors, and historical figures who shaped the area's history, as well as a reproduction of a 1920s cigar store.

Glazer Children’s Museum, 110 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL 33602 (15-20-minute drive, 10 miles south, from USF). 53,000 square feet. Designed to inspire children and families by creating learning opportunities around innovative play and discovery. 

The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Dr, Tampa, FL. 250,000-square-foot aquarium with over 14,000 aquatic and terrestrial animals.

Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N Maconnes Place, Tampa, FL. The Straz Center for the Performing Arts provides world-class entertainment, ranging from lavish Broadway shows to classical music and rock concerts. 

Clearwater & St. Petersburg

Dali Museum, One Dali Blvd. St. Petersburg, FL. Offers an unparalleled collection of the famous Spanish artist's work in America. Special exhibits throughout the year, including children's activities, film, music, lectures and more. Daily guided tours and audio guides free with admission.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater, FL.  Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick and injured marine animals, public education, conservation, and research.
