Aaron K. Campbell began teaching Brass Techniques at USF in 2024. Dr. Campbell is the first person to receive a Doctor of Musical Arts in Euphonium Performance from the University of Florida, which he earned with a cognate in Entrepreneurship. He also holds a Master of Music in Euphonium Performance from James Madison University, a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of South Florida, and an Associate in Arts in Music from Indian River State College.
Dr. Campbell is a multi-award-winning, internationally renowned low brass specialist. He is the Founder and President of Tampa Brass Works, a non-profit educational performance organization with three affiliated brass bands. He acts as solo euphonium with the Tampa Brass Band and the Musical Director of the Sunshine Brass Band. Additionally, he serves as Principal Euphonium for the Florida Wind Band, and regularly performs with Florida ensembles including the Florida Orchestra, the Florida Wind Symphony, the Ocala Symphony, and the Brass Band of Central Florida.
Dr. Campbell regularly performs and demonstrates at national and international conferences. He was a guest artist, speaker, and adjudicator at the International Women’s Brass Conference in Mito City, Japan (2024), a featured artist and adjudicator at the inaugural Canadian Brass Band Festival in Toronto, Canada (2023), and a featured soloist at the Georgia Music Education Association Conference (2019). He maintains a private lesson studio in Tampa including students on brass instruments at all levels, ages, and musical backgrounds. He also regularly visits classrooms and conferences as a clinician, and frequently gives presentations on entrepreneurship, non-traditional marketing, and developing progressive career paths for the next generation of musicians.
