Corey Carpenter has served as the Academic Advisor for the USF School of Music since 2018. He works closely with students to ensure that they understand their program requirements and move efficiently toward graduation.

While not a musician, Corey was a ballet dancer with the Georgia Ballet Company for 10 years. He attended San Diego State University to study humanities and French, during which he studied abroad in Paris, France. After teaching English in Taiwan, he returned to an international advising position for seven years with the University of California-San Diego, and then moved into international student recruitment with USF. After extensive travel in Asia and Africa, he “settled down” to advise the incredible music students who choose to study at USF.
