Dave Rudolph joined USF's Music Faculty in fall of 2020 as the Adjunct Professor of Jazz Percussion. His responsibilities include teaching undergraduate applied lessons and aiding other faculty by working with various Jazz Ensembles.

Rudolph has been an active member of the Tampa Bay music scene since 1994. He got his start on guitar at age 7 and then moved to the drums at age 11. Passionate about learning music, he earned a B.A. in Jazz Performance in 2001 and a M.M. in Jazz Performance in 2015, both from the University of South Florida. He has appeared in shows at the Straz Center and works with various artists in the area including, The Valerie Gillespie Ensemble, La Lucha, LaRue Nickelson, James Suggs, Michael Ross, and performs regularly with a group co-founded with fellow USF faculty member, Pablo Arencibia called ARConnection. Dave is also currently the Professor of Contemporary Percussion at Hillsborough Community College.
