Bulls Business Network

Overview

What is the Bulls Business Network (BBN)?

The Bulls Business Network is a classification for high-achieving first-year students. Students who are designated BBN students will have an attribute added to their academic record that provides special perks. This occurs automatically.

Students who meet the criteria listed at the bottom of this page receive access to resources and scholarship eligibility that is typically only available to juniors and seniors in the Muma College of Business. BBN students also receive special registration opportunities and gain eligibility to apply for our Muma Living Learning Communities.

Benefits of the Bulls Business Network

BBN students have the same degree requirements as their non-BBN peers, but they will enjoy several benefits only available to those with the BBN attribute:

  • Eligibility to Apply to the Muma Living Learning Communities
BBN members are eligible for the Bulls Business Community or the Zimmerman Advertising Program. These are two residential programs designed to foster relationships with peers to create a support network, develop relationships with professionals to explore career paths & opportunities, identify resources to promote academic success, and articulate strategies to maintain holistic wellbeing.
  • Eligibility to Apply to the Business Honors Program
Members of the BBC or ZAP living-learning communities can also apply to be a part of the highly selective Business Honors program. This prestigious program blends rigorous coursework and research activities with special residential, service, international, and applied learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. Students admitted into the Business Honors Program are also granted admission to the Judy Genshaft Honors College.

  • Registration Benefits
If students wish to avoid mass lecture halls, the BBN attribute allows students to register for smaller sections of business classes that are reserved exclusively for other high-achieving BBN members.

Here’s an example: Instead of a BBN student enrolling in a 100+ person accounting class, they have access to a section with a maximum capacity of only about 50 students.

  • Access to the Muma College of Business’s Scholarships
Each Spring, students in the BBN may apply for special Muma College of Business scholarships normally open only to juniors and seniors.
