The ABA minor is for students seeking knowledge and skills in the field and is especially valuable for those seeking to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or those seeking to prepare for a graduate program in ABA. The ABA minor is open to all students. Behavior Analyst work with many populations across multiple areas.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) involves the application of scientific principles and concepts to understand and change behavior. Courses in the ABA Minor will teach students the skills they need to provide ABA services to help people change their behavior.

A person that provides ABA services is called a Behavior Analyst. Behavior Analysts work in areas such as Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Special Education, Education, Parent Training, and Organizational Behavior Management, just to name a few. Our courses:

Certification as a Behavior Analyst

Students who study ABA can become certified as a Behavior Analyst once they obtain their degree. In order to become certified, students must take approved coursework in ABA, gain supervised field experience, and pass a certification exam. Individuals who are certified at the bachelor's level are in high demand in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the US.
