Behavioral Health Workforce Education & Training Program at USF

Scholar Requirements

Eligibility

• Students enrolled in one of these USF programs can apply:
  • Clinical Master’s Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (CRMHC)
  • Master’s Social Work (MSW)
  • Master's Counselor Education
  • Doctoral School Psychology/Clinical Psychology
  • USF Health Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology (must have matched through APPIC)
    
    
• U.S. Citizen
  
  
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
  
  
• Enrolled in fieldwork courses or in internship during the program

Scholars must fulfill the requirements below to successfully complete the program.

• Complete the field placement experience during either Practicum 2 or Internship at an approved IBH site, such as:
  
  • Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County
  • Tampa General Needle Exchange Program and Emergency Department
  • TGH Health Park
  • Ybor Youth Clinic
  • 17 Davis Pediatric Clinic
  • Underground Clinic
  • Children's Medical Services
  • University of Tampa Health Center
  • Reach Up
  • Silver Child Development Center
• Complete the training requirements, including workshops, evaluations, client tracking logs, and supervised clinical hours.
  
  
• Complete and submit all required information necessary for accurate reporting and project documentation for HRSA.
  
  
• Continue career path and seek employment working with underserved population post-graduation.
  
  
• Respond to requests post-graduation for information necessary for program reporting for purposes such as licensure status and career placements and keep USF grant staff apprised of professional development.
