Overview
A hallmark of the Department is our internationally recognized research programs and the robust infrastructure at the Department and University levels. With nineteen laboratories and abundant clinical research, our basic and applied science spans a wide range of areas within hearing, speech, language, voice, and neurocommunicative sciences. Our faculty and staff have expertise in and collaborate across the disciplines within Communication Sciences & Disorders as well as engineering, medicine, neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and the social sciences. Our research is funded by NIH, NSF, the Veterans Health Administration, Foundations, and industry sponsors.
