Overview
The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders offers a variety of services to the University, greater Tampa community, and southeastern United States region.
These services are provided by:
- The Hearing Clinic
- The Speech-Language Clinic
- Interpreter Services (Hands On USF)
- The Bolesta Center
History:
The USF Speech Language and Hearing Center was founded in 1969 and was located in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Today, the Speech-Language Clinic and Hearing Clinic provide nearly 40,000 hours of speech and hearing services to the community annually. These clinics are the primary teaching sites for the clinical graduate education of future Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. In Spring 2001, the clinic facilities were relocated into a new 47,800 square foot, state-of-the-art facility.
