Educational Interpreter Project

Educational Interpreter Project is a FL discretionary project housed at USF. EIP supports K-12 educational interpreters, agency interpreters who are placed in schools, & staff members who work with Deaf and hard of hearing students. EIP provides professional development workshops & trainings on topics relating to ASL & Deaf Education. Mentorship is offered to those who would like to improve their skills & knowledge in educational interpreting.

ABOUT EIP

Educational Interpreter Project is a Florida Department of Education BEESS discretionary project. The purpose of EIP is to provide professional opportunities for educational interpreters. Also EIP would like to increase the supply of skilled educational interpreters working with students who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or deaf-blind. EIP also provides technical assistance to school district personnel regarding educational interpreters.
