Workshops & Trainings
How To?
School districts, ESE directors, DHH leaders, and lead interpreters may request for a workshop/training for their educational interpreters. D/HH staff members are more than welcome to join the workshops. The EIP coordinator is the one who will set up the workshop for the school district. The contact person from a school district and the EIP coordinator will discuss what needs/ideas the interpreters need or would appreciate learning within a workshop. The EIP coordinator will then work on finding the best presenter for the district. EIP offers to do workshops in person and virtually. It depends on the presenter’s availability and ability to travel.
The process to set up a workshop request two to three months to set up. The sooner the EIP coordinator knows, the better. The process to request a presenter takes up at least four to six months. The EIP coordinator has a list or approved presenters for the contact person to choose from. Sending the EIP coordinator all the possible dates for professional development days would be the best.
CEUs are provided for those who need to earn CEUs.
