Dr. Roger Peters, a professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy, served as a panelist on a recent webinar sponsored by the Organization of American States Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission, entitled "Alternatives to Incarceration in the Context of Principles of Therapeutic Justice". Dr. Peters provided presentations on the effectiveness of drug treatment under judicial supervision, and populations that experience the greatest benefit from court-supervised treatment programs. The webinar was attended by over 200 participants, primarily from Central America, South America, and the Caribbean basin.
