Criminology Professor Bryanna Fox, PhD, presented her research, “Do SORN Restrictions Reduce Sex Offending in Tampa?” at the Tampa City Council meeting on Oct. 19. Fox conducted this research with Professor Tom Loughran, PhD, and graduate student Jacqueline Burckley, MA. Fox’s team had collaborated with the City of Tampa, Tampa Police Department, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement to do an analysis of sex offender recidivism in order to address questions from the council.
