The School of Aging Studies held its Welcome Back Reception on Aug. 30 to kick off the 2024-2025 academic year.
During the reception, Debra Dobbs, PhD, interim director of the School of Aging Studies, highlighted the many accomplishments of the school's faculty and students over the past year. Julie Serovich, PhD, dean of the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, provided students and faculty with words of encouragement and reminded everyone in attendance to practice self-care. Hongdao Meng, MD, MPH, PhD, associate director of the PhD in Aging Studies program, highlighted accomplishments of the past year and welcomed the incoming cohort of PhD students: Khunza Asma, Girish Hemrajani, and Helena Polansky.
