About
Overview
Educational Measurement and Research has a strong tradition of inquiry and scholarship, quality teaching and mentoring, commitment to diversity, and service to colleagues within the College, University, P-12 schools, and professional associations.
With increased emphasis on educational accountability and the need for evidence-based practice, the fields of measurement, evaluation, research, and statistics have taken on key roles in informing educational policy and practice at the local, state, national, and international levels.
Our programs prepare students for leadership positions in the fields of measurement and evaluation. We also offer graduate certificates programs that are designed to provide you with valuable educational experience in a more accessible, focused format than traditional graduate degree programs.
Potential career paths for graduates of our programs include positions in:
- Assessment/evaluation in school districts
- Faculty positions in public and private accredited colleges, universities, and community colleges
- Research positions in state departments of education and other governmental agencies
- Measurement positions in state and national testing organizations (e.g., ETS, ACT).
We are committed to your success and providing the best opportunities for your future. We encourage you to explore our programs — everyone has a place here!
