Research Overview: Biomechanics
Working with other scientists, engineers, and physicians, research is conducted in the following areas:
- Shoulder biomechanics, including the design of total shoulder joint replacement
- Pediatric and adult head trauma
- Spinal biomechanics, including the design of new spinal orthopedic implant devices
- The forces associated with “Activities of Daily Living” and strenuous activities
- Occupant dynamic response during various vehicular impact scenarios
