Startup Unifi has raised $17.5 million in a recent round led by Scale Venture Partners. The San Mateo-based startup has raised $32 million to date. Unifi makes data integration tools for business intelligence software. Unifi's software is designed around Apache Hadoop, an open source framework for big data applications. Unifi was co-founded by Ayush Parashar, a 2003 MS graduate from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
