CSE doctoral student Brooks Olney was one of the Research Category Winners in the USF Graduate Student Research Symposium. He presented a poster on secure deployment of neural network IP in an adversarial environment. Olney and CSE Assistant Professor Robert Karam have submitted a full patent on this work, and it is also pending publication in a special issue of ACM JETC. As one of the winners, Olney is entitled to $5000 in travel funds to present his research at a meeting of his choice.
