Yogi Goswami And Molekule Awarded BioFlorida’s Inaugural COVID-19 Innovation Award
BioFlorida is an organization that connects a network of emerging and established life science companies, universities, research institutions, hospitals, medical centers, and more. This year, BioFlorida announced an award titled the COVID-19 Innovation Award and recognizes a Florida company that has made significant advances in the fight against COVID-19. The first winner of this inaugural award is none other than Distinguished University Professor and director of the USF Clean Energy Research Center, Dr. Yogi Goswami and his company Molekule.

Christopher Passaglia Receives NIH Grant Optic Nerve Research
Department of Medical Engineering Professor Chris Passaglia was recently sub-awarded a $282,335 R01 grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences within the National Institutes of Health to examine the effectiveness of different drug cocktails at promoting axon regeneration in the crushed rat optic nerve.

The Balter Family Is Bullish On Supporting Engineering Student Success
Supporting student success at the College of Engineering is an ongoing effort of Balter’s that began with contributing to fund scholarships on an annual basis. Working with the College’s development staff, Balter and other family members established an endowment to fund the Balter Family Scholarship that financially supports full-time junior and senior undergraduates who are majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering, in perpetuity.

Air Purifier Technology Created By Distinguished University Professor Yogi Goswami Gets FDA Approval
This April, the Molekule Air Pro RX was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration as a Class II Medical Device. The device uses the same technology as Molekule’s consumer air purifier models — technology created by USF Clean Energy Research Center Director, chief scientist and co-founder of Molekule, and Distinguished University Professor, Yogi Goswami, PhD.
