American Rescue Plan Student Emergency Aid Funding
American Rescue Plan Student Emergency Aid Funding
On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law. This law gives the U.S. Department of Education (Department) approximately $40 billion to distribute to institutions of higher education in order to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III Act (HEERF III). USF’s portion for emergency student funding is $52,005,995.
Grants can be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to COVID-19. Priority must be given to undergraduate students with exceptional need.
All Federal Student Emergency Aid funds have been distributed at this time.
