Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is awarded to low income undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. Funds are awarded based on full time enrollment, but pro-rated each semester if enrolled less than full time (a minimum half time enrollment is required).
To be considered for an SEOG, students must:
- be admitted as a degree seeking undergraduate;
- complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the published priority deadline;
- be Pell Grant eligible;
- maintain satisfactory academic progress; and
- not be in default on a federal student loan or owe a repayment on a federal grant
