TEACH Grants

How Do I Apply?

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Be sure to include USF's school code, 001537, in the section that asks which schools should receive your results.

  2. MANDATORY - Attend a TEACH Grant Information Session in the College of Education

Contact Jennifer Fitzsimmons (fitzsimm@usf.edu) for TEACH grant information materials. The TEACH grant Information Session only needs to be completed once while you attend USF.

  3. Accept the TEACH Grant in Student Self-Service

  4. Complete the TEACH Grant Initial and Subsequent Counseling and the TEACH Grant Agreement to Serve or Repay (Agreement)

Each year you receive a TEACH Grant, you must complete – in this order – the Initial and Subsequent Counseling and sign a TEACH Agreement. Both are completed electronically here. They will be available to complete approximately one week after you accept your TEACH grant in Student Self-Service, but not before August 1st for the upcoming year.

  5. Exit Interview:

When you cease enrollment or graduate from a TEACH grant eligible program at USF, federal regulations require that you must complete an online exit interview through the U.S. Department of Education. The exit interview will discuss your agreement to serve and the conditions of your TEACH grant. It can be completed here.
